Last summer was filled with some serious travelling around Canada.
It started out by flying into Vancouver from Tokyo and checking out some areas on the west coast. Eventually, that leg ended in Calgary with the next leg starting soon after between Toronto and Quebec City. Altogether it was over 4000km of driving in about a month. Now that I have some time to work on the photos this summer, I’ll be making a number of posts showing the highlights of the trip.
There wasn’t much sun during the time in Vancouver, which made it more of a challenge to come up with interesting landscape shots. Although Vancouver can get a lot of rain in the colder months, the summer is usually mostly dry. It must have been bad timing arriving at the end of June with overcast and showers that week, because just after driving more east the temperatures jumped and the sun was shining for the whole month of July. There was absolutely no rain in for the entire month!
